I was once told that the best photographers are really just the best editors.

While there may be some truth to the statement, it is not to detract from the art of photography. It is the magic of capturing a specific moment, an odd angle or a pop of contrasting color and light. It is the art of finding beauty in the ordinary and everyday. It is the decision to make those things permanent and special by the click of a button, the flash of a bulb (and of course in our case, a little bit of luck, some digital enhancing, and a bit of good editing;)
